Former US Open winner Emma Raducanu has debunked rumours circulating in the media that she’s in a romantic relationship with Carlos Alcaraz.
Before his opening fixture against wildcard Mimi Xu on Monday, Raducanu, was seen practicing with Alcaraz on Friday.
The speculations, which have long been on social media, peaked after the US Open revealed that the two have been paired up for the new-look mixed doubles event later in August this year.
She was asked to address the social media rumours about her relationship with Alcaraz, and Raducanu replied with a smile: “We’re just good friends.”

While Raducanu dismissed any romantic links with the five-time Grand Slam champion, Alcaraz opened up about their relationship during a BBC interview at Wimbledon.
The Spaniard’s comments showed respect towards his new doubles partner while demonstrating the light-heartedness that characterises their friendship.
“I’m just going to serve and I’m gonna pull myself away and I let her play.
“She will cover a lot of the court. She will be the boss. I will do whatever she wants me to do.”
Raducanu and Alcaraz, both 22, have been subject to swirling rumours about a potential romance after they announced they would be teaming up as doubles partners for the US Open later this summer.
The pair will team up at the Billie Jean King Tennis Centre in August as they both look to add a doubles success to their US Open singles titles.
