Victor Boniface will once again lead Super Eagles’ attack in today’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against the Amavubi of Rwanda.
Caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen made only one change to his starting X1 from the game against Benin Republic with Fisayo Dele-Bashiru taking the place of Alex Iwobi.
Chippa United goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali will be behind the stick, with captain William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi and Calvin Bassey playing as centre-backs.
Ola Aina and Bruno Onyemaechi will feature as wing-backs.
Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi will partner Dele-Bashiru in midfield.
Boniface get another to impress after his below par showing against Benin. The Bayer Leverkusen forward will be supported by Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze in attack.

Nice one still
Very good selection. Right that Osimhen should be given more time to be match fit and come in as a sub. Boniface might score this time. And Iwobi’s best position is not in midfield. Dele Bashiru is more physical and imposing. Slight concern is that Ndidi doesn’t play as a defensive midfielder anymore. That midfield still needs fixing. Upside is that Bruno attached effectively against Benin and Aina was a revelation at Afcon, so he just needs close to that form.
