Nigeria’s Super Eagles have climbed 14 places in the latest world rankings released by the Federation of International Football Association (FIFA).
The West Africans are now ranked in 28th position in the world.
The Super Eagles are also now the third best team in Africa.
The remarkable rise was as a result of the team’s impressive performance at the recently concluded 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Jose Peseiro’s side finished in second position at the competition, losing 2-1 to hosts Cote d’Ivoire in final.
The Atlas Lions of Morocco are the highest ranked team in Africa, while the Terangha Lions occupy second spot.
Egypt and Cote d’Ivoire complete the top five teams on the continent.
The next edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking will be published on 4 April.

I am highly disapointed in this dumb head of a coach, who made us to lose a title we truly deserve, he is a clueless coach, he wanted to steal the cup with his insicurity style of play, when he have all the tools to dominate cotedvoir by allowing us play our normal three man midfield, we have never been this dominated by the ivorians in any previous meetings before this coward of a coach, rohr is far better than this idiot, we played our worst football in our history of afcon, we managed our way to the final becos of our quality players, there was no win that we actualy deserve apart from cameroun game were osimen played his 9 lifes, everyother game was kick and move football, i congratulate our players for their individual contributions, but for the coach, he was just an embarassment, even when rohr played 5 back, he often do it to dominate the midfield of a very tecknical teams like argentina and iceland in the worldcup and it works, we dominated those games because he uses three man(mikel, ndidi, etebo) to keep the ball more, thats why we creat more chances in those games including argentina game. even after the wcup he returned to our normal 433 in the 2019 afcon, he lost gloriously to algeria i believe if he had brought in ogu, mikel obi and osihmen to replace ndidi iwobi and ighalo in the 70th minutes, rohr would have beaten algeria flat. but pesero kept using two midfielders from 442 to another 343 which always suffer how midfielders having just two man, playing iwobi deep(he is the reason iwobi is suffering from thus cyber abuse, all the games he played three midfield iwobi was outstanding) , verry stupid man, imagin in that final after the drama we suffered against southafrica every normal person will know that nigeria will suffer more against cotedvoir with more quality midfielders in their squad, and they have played us before, how can thesame team beat you twice at home? A good coach will present a different team entirely and the supereagles have that reserve quality to supprise ivorians in the final, or even in the second half after we took the lead. drop sanusi, play a normal four man back with aina ajayi ekong and bassey, play the midfield with fresh legs, onyedika and alhasan yusuf behind frank onyeka, play upfront iwobi in right lookman in left and osihmen upfront, bring iheanacho, moffi and simon to replace the three upfront in the 65th minutes, in the 80th minutes bring aribo for onyeka and omeruo for ekong, this idea may not give us the victory but it would have given our boys a better chance to dominate the ivorians, ok even if he insist in 3 back then bring in a third midfieder in the second half since the ivorians were more dominant in the engine room of the game, we just needed possesion to keep that lead instead this idiot kept increasing the pressure on us as he kept on with two midfielders, shame on this pesero, the man continue warn out the talent of our players with the sick formation 5 man back in africa nations cup, a whole Naija its a shame, even the 2021 edition when we were one man down against tunisia we still dominated them, our diffense have always been one of africa best before pesero came in, i dont kno why the 3 man backline in a nations cup, shame on this man, he cost us our fourth title with is dundee football tactics, everyteams dominated possesion in all games apart from the first game, just because u concede a goal from almost outside the box, u go pack back with trailers, mumu coach. No room for a serial failure that could not qualify U-20 with array of stays, that could not win a local league as a coach,that got sacked or demoted within 6 months of his reign in African club sides.

Excellent rankink for Super Eagles , I advice NFF and coaching crew to improve and inhance SE performance when encounter any team, with modern football, pace , speed, one to one football, pressing the opposer, SE coaching crew should study opposer so much in order to a good tactic or to counteract to other tactic, this means he should change the tactic if the suitation requires that.
