The Super Eagles rose up one place in the latest men’s ranking published on the FIFA website on Friday.
Jose Peseiro’s side moved from 40th to 39th position.
The Super Eagles defeated the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone 1-0 in their only outing in June.
The three-time African champions however remain in sixth position on the continent.
The Atlas Lions of Morocco occupy top spot on the continent with the Terangha Lions of Senegal and Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in second and third position respectively.
The Desert Foxes of Algeria and Pharaoh of Egypt complete the top five teams.
Current world champions Argentina retain number one position on the ranking, while France, Brazil, England and Belgium complete the top five.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking will be published on July 20.

This is very POOR!If GENERAL ROAH was not SACKED by now WE would have been NUMBER ONE in AFRICA and among the TOP 15 in the WORLD…

That useless Ghana or Black and Blue stars or whatever they go by these days – it’s only Nigeria they know how to drag with, why with all that mouth they have have they allowed the top 5 positions in Africa to be held by North African sides?? Is not Nigeria that is the only dark skinned nation anywhere near there at 6th? With all their disgraceful loudmouth pombes coming here and making noise all the time – you would at least expect the yeye banku stares to be above Nigeria in the rankings but even that they are not good enough for and they will be here dragging and running their mouths
Like I always say – I blame the ITK Nigerian’s (I won’t shame them by naming them) who always respond and contend with these dullards, some even giving the banku eaters credit for doing one thing better than the SE or the other – I mean how counter productive and hare brained can anyone get to be admitting ground to those inferior loudmouths! I have always said when they will start admitting that yes they give Ghana credit for this or that – that is madness! You think you’re too smart but you are a huge part of the problem! Those banku and kenke eaters will never ever give you credit for anything! Ever in their lives yet you ITK’s will be here conceding this ground here and that ground there and alll especially for absolutely no reasons whatsoever!
If they were that good where you are belittling your own country because they act like bullies and come like they can shout you down with their madness, how come Nigeria is still ranked higher in Africa than the loudmouths?? Ehn tell me why or why they are not number 1 in Africa? Or even anywhere in the top 5??
Menh some Nigerians are just a big disappointment!
