In a dazzling display of streetball brilliance and unrelenting energy, The Dream Team emerged victorious at the 2025 Red Bull Half Court National Finals, held on Saturday, August 2nd, at the Jewel Aeida in Lekki, Lagos.
Battling through fierce competition from seven other elite teams across five regions, the Port Harcourt-based side clinched the title with a nail-biting 14-12 win over Magic Ballers in an intense final showdown that showcased the best of 3×3 basketball in Nigeria.

Red Bull Half Court is a global 3 x 3 streetball tournament happening for the 4th time in Nigeria. At Red Bull Half Court, it’s all about owning your game and playing a tenacious offence.

In the fastest (10 mins) 3on3 basketball tournament, teams advance by winning games, but there’s a unique Red Bull twist — one bonus spot is given to the team scoring the most points cumulatively across all games. That means that even teams that haven’t won the most games might still make it through.
2025 National Finals: Teams and Regional Representation
Eight teams competed to be crowned champions at the National Final on Saturday, 2nd of August 2025 at the Jewel Aeida in Lekki, and it was an intense show of skill and play.
After five regional qualifiers across Nigeria — in Abuja, Port Harcourt, Ibadan, Lagos Mainland, and Lagos Island — the champions were:
- Abuja – Magic Ballers
- Port Harcourt – The Dream Team
- Ibadan – STTD
- Lagos Mainland – The Boys
- Lagos Island – Raging Fire
They were joined by past champions from 2021, 2022, and 2023 — Kingsmen, Nile Spartans, and Beavers Elite — making up the elite eight-team lineup.
The Semi-Final Stage: 2025 Red Bull Half Court Tension and Big Performances
After an intense group stage, Kingsmen, Magic Ballers, The Dream Team, and Beavers Elite made it to the semi-finals, where the matchups were hot with incredible plays.
Kingsmen (12 pts) went against Magic Ballers (14 pts) and lost by a very close 2 points.

The Dream Team (23 pts) dominated their match against Beavers Elite (11 pts), with star players Precious and Favour raining down three- and two-pointers throughout the game.
The Final Battle: Magic Ballers vs The Dream Team
The finals met Magic Ballers and The Dream Team in an intense game that came to a tie and proceeded to a golden-point finish — with the first team to score two points declared winner.
In less than a minute, the winning point was sank in by Favour with an incredible assist from Precious, who was the MVP of the tournament — bringing the final scores to 14-12 and making The Dream Team the Red Bull Half Court Champions of 2025.

Precious was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player (MVP), delivering critical assists and game-changing shots throughout the competition. His leadership and execution in clutch moments played a pivotal role in his team’s national triumph.
