United States of America President Donald Trump has confirmed that he will be in attendance for the final of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup in New Jersey on Sunday.
The announcement follows FIFA’s decision to open a new office in New York’s Trump Tower, marking a symbolic move to deepen its presence in the United States.
Before Trump’s press availability ended on Tuesday, a reporter asked if he’d be bringing the trophy to the game on Sunday.
The president quipped: “Yeah, I’m going to deliver it. I have it in my office.” He then smiled.

The month-long tournament will draw to a close on Sunday when Premier League side Chelsea faces the winner of Wednesday’s match between French club Paris Saint-Germain and Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid.
The news of the president’s planned attendance at the tournament final came a day after FIFA announced it would open an office inside Trump Tower in Manhattan and that the Club World trophy would be on display inside the building leading up to Sunday’s final.
“We have received such a big support from the government and from the President with the White House Task Force for the FIFA Club World Cup (now) and for the FIFA World Cup next year,” Infantino said.
