Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has disclosed that the Reds need a good performance to overcome Paris Saint-Germain ahead of this week’s Champions League second-leg quarter-final clash.
Recall that Liverpool lost the first leg 2-0 in Paris and will be hoping to overturn the result at Anfield.
Speaking after the team’s 2-0 win over Fulham in Saturday’s Premier League, the Dutch international, in a chat with BBC Sport, stated that Liverpool must use the victory as a springboard for PSG.

“But we are at home and we have to show belief from start to finish that we can do it.
“It needs a special performance but I’ve been lucky and privileged that I’ve been part of special performances.
“So, I believe for sure and I’m going to make sure I bring that across to the team, the boys. But we need everyone to have that same mindset.”
