Former Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has warned the national team against taking Argentina lightly in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final, describing them as a “real nuisance” and highlighting their tactical discipline.
Del Bosque acknowledged Spain’s tournament edge but urged caution based on Argentina’s fighting spirit and experience.

Speaking to the El Pais newspaper, the 2010 World Cup-winning coach provided a detailed breakdown of the highly anticipated title clash.
“Argentina are a tough team to play against – a real nuisance, if I may use the word – and they know exactly what they need to do,” Del Bosque told El Pais.
“I see the final as favouring Spain, but they need to be wary of the Argentines, given how difficult they are to face and their experience.

Del Bosque also praised Spain’s performances throughout the tournament, saying the team have remained in control of matches and played with confidence.
“In the matches we have watched, the game was played exactly on the national team’s terms; they dominated the situation and demonstrated both assurance and confidence,” he said.
