Super Eagles interim coach Austin Eguavoen has said he has the players who are ready to counter any formation or style Rwanda comes up with.
The Eagles will take on Rwanda on matchday 2 of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in Kigali on Tuesday.
While the Eagles will go into the game on the back of a 3-0 win against Benin Republic, Rwanda held Libya to a 1-1 draw away.
Speaking ahead of the game in his presser, Eguavoen said:”We have quality players who can play different styles of football, different formation, different system. So whatever formation or system Rwanda comes up with we have the personnel to deal with it.
“Our country is full of expectations it doesn’t matter who we play, they expect us to win we play people with respect but we will get the result.“
Eguavoen, however, added that the Eagles will approach the game with respect against the Rwandans.
“They respect us and we do respect them because you don’t look down on people because football has really improved, you can get shocked. Every country is that plays against Nigeria always try to raise their game so we have to be ready as well.“

It’s not about you having the players to cope with any “style” the Rwandans decide to play, coach Eguavoen. You must study and analyse their videos to note their strengths and weaknesses so as to mitigate their strenght and explore their weaknesses. All 3 points must be collected by SE in Kigali.
@Tony K are you trying to teach Eguavoun how to do his job??
..and the same Super Eagles Coach, Eguaveon made mince meat of Rohr an expatriate coach. The import…. Victory can’t be bitter in a saner clime.
An expatriate coach?? i can’t stop laughing.one of the useless coaches in the world is now an expatriate.
EXPATRIATE SIMPLY MEANS SOMEONE THAT IS BEING IMPORTED TO COME AND WORK IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY
