Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca says the team is ready to face either Real Madrid or Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the 2025 Club World Cup.
Chelsea secured their spot in Sunday’s final with a comfortable 2-0 win over Fluminense courtesy of a brace from Joao Pedro on his first start for the club.
Joao Pedro, who was given his first start by Maresca following a summer move from Brighton, opened the scoring against his boyhood club in the 18th minute after ex-Chelsea defender Thiago Silva failed to clear Pedro Neto’s cross.

The Brazilian international then scored his brace in the 56th minute with a powerful shot that went in off the bar to seal the victory.
Questioned on who he’d rather face, Maresca, who’s guided Chelsea to their second cup final in three months, was suitably diplomatic.
He told DAZN: “I like both teams, they played very good football.
“Luis Enrique had two seasons there, Xabi has just arrived but we can see how he wants to play.
“We will play a strong team, but we are proud to be already there.”
