Inter Milan hero Beppe Bergomi believes with the arrival of quality players to Napoli, the club should be able to win the UEFA Champions League next season.
With Kevin de Bruyne and Sam Beukema having arrived, the Serie A champions are already improving on last season’s team.
Napoli confirmed the signing of De Bruyne on a free transfer following his exit from Manchester City at the end of his contract.
He left Manchester City after 10 years at the club, winning 19 major trophies after joining from Wolfsburg in 2015.

De Bruyne notably helped City to win six Premier League titles, five League Cups and two FA Cups – plus their first Champions League title in 2023, completing the Treble as Pep Guardiola’s team became only the second English side ever to achieve the feat.
In a chat with Il Mattino, Bergomi stated that Napoli can compete for the Champions League title.
“In Europe, Italian football is struggling. We’re like a house with a glass roof; you see the stars but never reach them.
“Napoli is the only team that can remain at the highest level, but they must focus on playing in the Champions League to win it. That’s the only way to be competitive.”
And as for the Scudetto, he added: “Napoli is a step ahead.”
