Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior has disclosed that Brazil are not favourites to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking in a press conference ahead of Brazil’s international friendly clash against France, Vinicius pointed out that recent results do not place the “Seleção” at the top of the predictions.
“I believe we are not the favorites if we look at the recent results.”
“But the weight of the national team jersey and the players we have here… all we need is to unite, and after Ancelotti’s arrival, we have a better understanding of how to play. This relieves a lot of pressure from us.

“We will do everything we can to bring Brazil back to the top. We don’t want to be the favorites; we want Brazil to be at the top.”
Brazil and France face eachother at the Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts on Thursday in a game that could represent what the World Cup final could look like.
Vinicius clearly backs Ancelotti and wants to brush off pressure of being favourites as soon as possible heading into the tournament as his nation aims to make history.
