Mamelodi Sundowns thrashed Remo Stars 5-1 in the first leg of their CAF Champions League second round tie in Abeokuta on Sunday, reports Completesports.com.
Tashreeq Matthews gave the visitors the lead in the 12th minute.
Sundowns doubled their advantage through Peter Shalulile one minute before the break.
Shalulile dribbled past a defender, and slotted into the bottom corner.

The South African champions continued their dominance after the break with Miguel Reisinho netting the third in the 61st minute.
Arthur Sales further increased the away side lead 15 minutes from time.
Samson Olasupo reduced the deficit for the hosts in the 77th minute.
Sundowns restored their four -goal lead with Tsiki Ntsabeleng firing home four minutes from time.
The reverse fixture will hold at Loftus Versfeld Stadium next week.

They should forfeit the 2nd leg, or if they do, Sundowns should field their feeder or U18 team to minimize the disgrace.
Just negodu NPFL championship. And the so-called NPFL chairman is still in office, despite the CHAN disgrace and now this??? Can’t remember the last time Nigerian teams were trashed by 4 and 5-goal margins, except the CHAN and NPFL teams in African club competitions.
