Arsenal defender William Saliba has described Max Dowman as an amazing player for the Gunner.
The teenager was only introduced in the 74th minute with the Gunners labouring against David Moyes’ side. During his brief time on the field, Dowman delivered the cross which led to Viktor Gyokeres’ 89th-minute breakthrough before displaying remarkable composure deep into stoppage time to wrap up the victory after Toffees goalkeeper Jordan Pickford had gone forward for a set-piece.
Speaking with the club’s website, Saliba paid tribute to Dowman after he became the youngest scorer in the division’s rich history.

“To be honest scoring for a player who is only 16 years old, who plays like this and comes onto the pitch and can change the game is amazing.
“He’s a nice guy as well, he’s humble and wants to improve every day. I’m so happy for him, I hope we can keep going together and winning like this.”
The Gunners, who moved nine points clear of Manchester City after Pep Guardiola’s men drew at West Ham on Saturday evening, are beginning to smell glory and the finish line is now in sight.
