Enzo Fernandez scored a late goal to help Chelsea secured a vital 1-1 draw against Manchester City in Sunday’s Premier League game at the Etihad Stadium.
After a first half that City controlled from start to finish, there was every indication Pep Guardiola’s men might have gone on to earn a one-sided victory.
Tijjani Reijnders had given City a halftime lead but the would-be title contenders could not add to their advantage and left the game within Chelsea’s reach.

The match took a dramatic turn deep into stoppage time. In the fourth minute of added time, Malo Gusto burst down the right and delivered a low cross across the face of goal.
The ball evaded both Liam Delap and Nathan Ake, falling to Fernandez at the far post. His initial effort was saved by Donnarumma, but the midfielder reacted quickest to prod the rebound into the net from close range.
As such, Chelsea went back above Manchester United into fifth, while City’s inability to get the result over the line means Arsenal’s lead at the summit stretches to six points.
