Former Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi has described Palmeiras star Estêvão Willian as a player that’s sharp and hungry for success.
He made this known on the backdrop of his impressive display against Chelsea at the Club World Cup, where he netted a goal in Palmeiras’ 2-1 loss to the Blues on Saturday.
The Brazilian smashed home an equalizer for Palmeiras against the Blues from an acute angle on Saturday.
Reacting after the game, the former Chelsea midfielder told DAZN that Estêvão is a fantastic player and will make more impact when he eventually joins Chelsea.
“He is a really good player. Fantastic player with a great left foot.

“He likes to wipe in the crosses early and he can dribble past players.
“He looks sharp and hungry like he wanted to prove something and he did that today.”
The Blues beat the likes of Bayern Munich, Paris St-Germain and Manchester City to sign the Palmeiras wonderkid last summer, but allowed him to stay in Brazil last season and to play for them in this summer’s Club World Cup.
Estevao is only just 18, and he showed why he is being described as the best young Brazilian player since Neymar with a brilliant second-half equaliser, which beat Sanchez from an almost impossible angle.
