Former Nigerian international, Alloy Agu has expressed optimism on the chances of the Super Eagles winning the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Recall that Nigeria have been grouped alongside hosts, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau in Group A.
With the team set to kickoff their campaign against Equatorial Guinea on January 14, Agu in a chat with Completesports.com stated that the Super Eagles have the players that will deliver the trophy come February 11.
“Well, having seen the final 25-man list released by Jose Peseiro, I want to believe that we have the players to conquer Africa all things been equal.

“Yes. we have other strong teams who will definitely give the Super Eagles a run for their money, but then, with the calibre of players in our disposal and commitment of the players, I think Nigeria can lift the trophy.
“It will be tough and as you know, if you want to be a champion, you must be ready to beat the best teams. I wish the team all the best in Ivory Coast.”

@Chima E Samuels, I do not think he is playing Awaziem in midfield.He is playing 3 at the back with omeruo, ekong and Awaziem. The formation is 343 , which means the full backs make up the 4 with the 2 midfielders. The 3 strikers with Sadiq, Simon and chukzy.

I have never witnessed a successful dishonest coach. It takes honesty to do right thing and in football if you don’t do the right thing E.g having control of your team and selecting the right players to play a tactics you’ll fail. Peseiro is a liar and a liar can never be a Winner!!!

Somebody who has been loosing all over the place must be doing something wrong. I remember when Falcons was playing badly that I almost went insane. Now it’s the SE having to deal with a criminal coach and FA sharing salaries. How disgusting!!!! EFCC is a fraud because if it was other confessions they see they’ll pounce. That has been my prayers, so the clueless coach can pack his bags and leave Nigeria. More so, former NFF president (Amoju Pinik) must be questioned by EEFCC, he brought Paseiro to Nigeria after he lied that it was Jose Morinho who introduced Paseiro to him,which Morinho later denied! EFF must also investigate who Paseiro has been given 20,000 dollars every month from his salaries, according to what Paseiro said.

Shebi I’ve been saying it that nothing good cam come from Peseiro’s team. When I complained that he lacks technical ability to read the game @Glory attacked me. Well I’ll be quiet till after the AFCON. Someone who has been playing friendlies up and down and had all the time in the world to build his own team only for him to fail against minors in the WC qualifiers. I didn’t watch the game because I was sleeping but from what I’m reading here looks like we were terrible. Goodluck to the team

Nigeria as a country is facing “LEADERSHIP” Crisis. If we really have good leaders that listen to the people and willing to do the right things for the growth of the country, Peseiro will be gone by now.
