Former Nigerian international, Etim Esin has expressed confidence in Victor Boniface’s ability to succeed at Bayer Leverkusen.
Recall that Boniface made his debut for the Super Eagles in their 6-0 thrashing of Sao Tome in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Having netted four goals in four Bundesliga games this ongoing season, the Nigerian international has become a household name in Germany.
However, in a chat with Completesports.com, Esin noted that Boniface will light up the Bundesliga with goals.
He also said that Boniface will be big hit for Bayer Leverkusen this season.
“Boniface has distinguish himself in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen despite arriving the club this summer.
“He has painted the league with goals and will definitely thrive in the Bundesliga going by his hunger for goals.
“His aggressive nature and pace makes it difficult for opponent to mark”
On 22 July 2023, Boniface signed for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen until 30 June 2028 and was assigned the number.
He made his Bundesliga debut as a starter on 19 August, in a 3–2 home victory over RB Leipzig.The following week, on 26 August, he scored his first Bundesliga goals by netting a brace at the Borussia Park in a 3–0 away derby win against Borussia Mönchengladbach.
