Former Nigerian international, Alloy Agu has urged Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen to focus on scoring goals for Napoli amid the infamous TikToks video incident.
Since the incident, Napoli have played three matches and been awarded penalties in every one of those games, yet Osimhen has rejected taken any of them but has scored from two open play.
The last season Serie A top scorer appears to have attracted some of the top clubs in Europe and also the oil rich Saudi League.
However, in a chat with Completesports.com, Agu stated that the former Lille striker should focus on maintaining his goal scoring prowess.
“Osimhen should focus on scoring goals and improving his profile as a prolific striker in Europe.
“He consistently maintain that pedigree last season and I am optimistic he can maintain that form regardless of what has happened in Napoli.”
Osimhen is a right-footed centre-forward known for his presence, athleticism, strength, directness, runs into space, eye for goal and his linkup play. At 185 cm, he has good holdup play. He also relies on pace to beat opponents.
Osimhen is regarded as one of the best centre-forwards in European football. He has been compared to fellow young strikers Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Alexander Isak and Dušan Vlahović. Opta Analyst wrote: “Among that early-prime age group, Victor Osimhen is arguably near the top”.

Too many lateral passes by Napoli in midfield, by which time he is policed by 3 or 4 defenders in the box, leaves Osimhen starved of goal-scoring opportunuties
You’re right. Truth must be told. Napoli lack quality midfielders going by their Stat since Osimhen join them. None of them have upto 10 assist a whole season. Except Zeilinski who had just 10 assist in Osimhen first season with Napoli truncated by injuries.
Apparently most of Osimhen assist didn’t come from the midfield. Is either from the wings or full backs. Now that Kvaratskhelia had been struggling along with their left back Mario Rui who often send in a cross into the box, he is left with only Di Lorenzo, Politano & few other teammates to provide the needed assist. But Kvara is getting back to shape so if he isn’t selfish, Osimhen should start getting more goals.
Spalleti really is underrated because he won the league with a team full of average players except few spectacular players like Osimhen. Kvara, Kim Min Jae & Anguissa. Anguisa was just an average player b4 joining Napoli, same can be said of Di Lorenzo but Spalleti really turns those guys to a super star.
Now that hes gone, the team has been poor. No fluidity, so Osimhen will really work his ass out to score as many goals as he wish he could cuz the midfielders are not doing their job
