Fulham and Villarreal have sent condolence messages to Samuel Chukwueze following the death of his mother.
Although Chukwueze himself did not initially confirm the development, his brother, David Chukwueze, shared the news in a series of emotional posts on Instagram.
According to the posts, the family is struggling to come to terms with the loss.
In one post, David wrote: “Can’t even post your picture to say RIP mum.”

In another, he said:“My forever love just left me without saying goodbye.”
He also noted:“You didn’t even carry your grandchild.”
Commenting on the loss Fulham wrote on X:”We are all with you, Chukwu. Sending you and your family our deepest condolences.”
According to Villarreal:”Our thoughts are with you and your loved ones, Samu 💛.”
The development comes just two days after Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi lost his father, Sunday Ndidi, in a road accident in Delta State.
