AC Milan hero Nelson Dida has expressed optimism that new manager Gennaro Gattuso can lead Italy to win the 2026 World Cup title.
Recall that Gattuso was appointed as Italy’s new head coach following Luciano Spalletti’s exit from the national team.

Reacting to Gattuso’s appointment, Dida, in a chat with Sky Italia, stated that it will make an instant impact.
“I’m happy for him because he’s a friend of mine. He’s grown a lot as a coach and now he has a great opportunity.
“He’ll bring a lot of determination and the Italian national team needs a person like him. I wish him all the best and I hope he can lead Italy to the World Cup.”
