Arsenal striker Viktor Gyökeres says he’s optimistic the Gunners will bounce back to winning ways after Sunday’s Carabao Cup final loss to Manchester City.
Despite their loss, Arsenal boast a nine-point advantage over second-place City, who have a game in hand as manager Pep Guardiola chases the side down.
The final will have been tough to take for the North London side whose quadruple chances were blown to pieces.

In a chat with the club’s website, Gyokeres stated that Arsenal will be even more “motivated” to win trophies after their Carabao Cup heartbreak.
“Of course we don’t feel at our best right now, but it’s not like we have a match in three days. We will definitely come back again and be even more motivated before the (forthcoming) matches.
“We created some chances at the beginning of the game and then I think it was maybe ten minutes from halftime that they got momentum. I think they had the ball … maybe they didn’t create many dangerous chances but they had the ball for a long time and it looked the same in the second half.
“Normally, when there are two top teams, it can be so (where the first goal is decisive). In the moment of the match where they scored… yes, it was hard to get started after that.”
