British boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has disclosed that the potential fight between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury may eventually not happen.
Recall that the former heavyweight champion narrowly escaped death after last December’s car accident along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway that killed two of his close friends, Latif Ayodele and Sina Ghami.
However, speaking on a potential fight between the two British boxers, Hearn stated that the fight may not see the light of day.
“Before this terrible incident, we were geared up to fight in March and then fight Tyson Fury,” Hearn told First Round TV – via The Sun.

Even at this moment, when neither man is in possession of a word title belt, the possibility if the two former world champions squaring off would make fan’s mouths water, particularly in Britain.
“Due to a horrible and deadly automobile accident involving Joshua early in the new year, however, all plans have had to be put on hold.
The two former world heavyweight champions have never fought each other despite being close to a match-up in 2021 which never materialised in what would have been a fight for the undisputed heavyweight crown.
