Marseille star Ethan Nwaneri has expressed delight after scoring his first goal for the club at the Stade Velodrome on Saturday.
The 18-year-old made the perfect start to his loan spell in Ligue 1, scoring on his debut against Lens just days after completing his move to Marseille.
Reacting after the game, the England youngster told Coeur Marseillais that he took advantage of the space and slotted the ball into the net.

“I’m excited, there are a lot of high-quality players, we can create something special.
“My goal? I saw the space, I took advantage of it, I accelerated and I felt there was an opportunity to score. I’m very happy for myself and the fans,” Nwaneri said.
The teenager enjoyed a breakthrough 2024/25 campaign with the Gunners, scoring nine goals and earning a new five-year contract.
