Liverpool Ready To Splash £120m On Isak

Isak Accuses Newcastle Of Broken Promises In Transfer Drama
    Isak

Liverpool have indicated interest in signing Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak and are prepared to splash £120m on the player.

The prolific Sweden international was known to be a key target for Arne Slot’s reigning Premier League champions as they seek the addition of a new top-level center forward before the window closes on September 1, having already spent £116 million on Florian Wirtz and also signed the likes of Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, and Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Isak was said to have been on a three-man striker shortlist on Merseyside also featuring Eintracht Frankfurt’s in-demand frontman Hugo Ekitike and Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, whom Galatasaray tried to sign on a permanent basis after his successful loan spell last season.

According to The Athletic, Liverpool have now made an official approach to Newcastle about signing Isak in a deal worth around £120m, which would represent another new British transfer record.

Isak currently remains under contract at St. James’ Park until the summer of 2028 and has become one of the world’s best strikers since moving to Tyneside from Real Sociedad for a club-record £62m fee in 2022, scoring 62 goals in 109 total appearances across all competitions so far, including 27 in 42 last season.

Seriously?Osimhen is just 75M euros not even pounds sterling yet he’s too expensive for every European top team.I’m sure Isak’s wages if successful will exceed that of Osimhen.
Comparing both strikers Osimhen is head and shoulder above Isak..
Meanwhile,Barcelona can’t even match Lookman’s asking price of 35M tabling 15M for Lookman is just a joke!

Nobody is going for osimhen except for the arab clubs. Nodody is doing anything until there is a picure of the player signing papers or holding a new jersey

A lot of clubs are in financial difficulties. People keep saying united or arsenal for osimhen. But in the pl most of the former players keep saying to sign isak for liverpool and arsenal because he has been proving to score in the premier league and MIGHT guarantee instant success. But clubs dont want to pay the price tag of at least 100m. A lot of teams are trying to cut corners by trying to buy players who are not strikers and turn them into one like havertz. Or teams dont want to get burned by buying players on a high and they turned out to be a bust. Happened with zirkzee, houjlind and darwin nunez. So top clubs wait for other clubs to gamble, see how they perform and poach them. Thats why brighton are making profit because lower teams tend to be the one to buy players outside the top 4 leagues, bottom half of the league players or players in other countries. But Liverpool can afford wirtz and would have gotten isak (I heard newcastle declined) because they dont spend a lot. In the 24-25 season they just got cheisa for cheap, so they can splurge for wirtz. Plus the team did well with the same players who were under jurgen klopp.

I was listening to a uk sports show and a former liverpool player said osimhen is quite contentious at times and not 100% committed. And also its hard to justify $250,000 a week to a player who had ONE good season. This is a desperate move if anyone wants osimhen he said. Loaning osimhen and while napoli have champions league next season and won the league title all without osimhen. It solidifies that he is not important to the team and still can achieve success without him.

A lot of top clubs or winning clubs are not signing African playing players or they will sign them but they aren’t a strong starter or important player to the team, but will most likely come off the bench. Man city, real madrid, bayern, etc win without having an african playing players or an african who is very important to the team or plays a major part.

Napoli owner said he’s not signing any african playing players because of afcon (idk if he enforced it) and that if he does sign them they will have to sign a contract to not play in African competitions because of osimhen, especially since he always came back injured. De laurentis the business man. Jurgen klopp expressed his frustration on sala leaving for afcon. African media took offense. Barcelona got rid of frank kessie. Onana was hesitant to play for cameroon. He came later to the competition when they got eliminated in afcon. I understand the sentiment of african competitions to african people and that’s all they have. But it has become a nuisance with so many delays, moving the competition and playing while club competition is still going on. Theres rainy season and dry season. But afcon, the same tournament where the referee ended the match at 85 mins between mali and tunisia?

Pep guardiola always wins with non african playing players. He only gets south americans and european players, I saw that fact on sky sports. Now look at chelsea, a lot of african european players and they are doing well. When afcon came man city was the least affected. The most affected were the bottom teams which is where most nigerians play lmaoo. I remember seeing how forest lost half of its squad and that season they finished just above relegation. Now look at forest now, they changed their lineup. Look at Awoniyi. Hes a scrub and a bench player. Chris wood, a new zealand player is now the star of the team, he replaced Awoniyi. Other than Aina, most of the African players are on the bench like Willy Boly. Forest changed it up, now the starting team is mostly europeans and south americans. When top clubs are signing African players, it will be the european ones, france, uk, netherlands, etc. Forest had elenga who plays for sweden and hudson odoi who plays for england.

Teams want south american and european players because they play in the summer with their national team. If a team is trying to be on top of the table having a player that plays for Africa, they will get burned in the long run. The best thing to do is to get the most out of the player before afcon rolls up. Literally why players won’t switch allegiance to african countries, nothing good comes out of it when you are trying to have a successful club career. The only thing is making the african fans happy. But for europe, quality pitches, top care and actually getting paid. Afcon is coming later this year and I think clubs know and want to win. They are not gonna pay a lot of money to players that will soon handicap the team later in the season. I mean asian cup comes every four years so clubs sign asian players too.

Chelsea no longer need to hear it from mikel on osimhen because of brazilian jaoa pedro and english delap. Nicholas jackson is on the bench or not in the starting team next season. There is already news that there are teams looking to get him which means that they will loan him out. Chelsea can now challenge for the league again

I was listening to a uk football podcast and the person who called up was tunisian. And he said he doesn’t like afcon, especially with the timing taking place. And how they should be cautious about giving mo salah a new contract (he later renewed for 2 years) because the next afcon is coming soon and he will miss at least a month away from the team where he is very vital.

All these are happening because of AFCON miss management at least they got the WAFCON right this time. They know these players plays for teams outside Africa so why don’t we try and align the AFCON with their calendar.
Until we get it right our players will continue not to be recognized globally & most of them will continue to choose their country of birth. Later most people will think it’s about our skin color forgetting the real reason why these clubs don’t want to gamble with their money because of our crazy CAF schedule.

All those saying AFCON this AFCON. that, are forgetting the only reason AFCON became a problem is because AFRICAN players became Very Important and undroppable to begin with. AFCON would not have been a problem if African players were not relevant. This has nothing to do with African players of Black origin or nothing Osimhen needs to back down a bit and show more humility and be the bigger person after all seria A is bigger than Turkish league and on par with England the champions of Italy is a big club..

Osimhen’s case is simple NAPOLI have paid well to tarnish his image worldwide with the help of Journalists like Fabrizio Ramano(particularly last season, Rudi Galletti that being said, he also is not doing himself any good with his continued Stubbornness I said Osimhen needs a little bit of humility injected back into his character his career is at stake here. I would have thought that his strategist or an advisor he should definitely have, would have at least pointed out that Kevin De Bruyne coming to Seria A will bring alot of eyes on Napoli and the Seria A, not just him Luka Modric as well this season. coupled with Napoli being Champions these factors cannot be overlooked and a themselves very good reason why he should prioritise Italy at least over Turkey and Saudi if he does indeed want to land up in Bigger Teams if his channel is blocked as it so seems. That being said Napoli about 3 weeks ago pleaded with Osimhen to squash the beef and were even willing to offer him the same wage as his upgraded contract about 12 net and maybe the captaincy definitely First team place above Lukaku but Oshimhen being Osimhen Rejected and swore not to play for Napoli. If Osimhen really reasoned well his best way to get back his high profile is the same Napoli that gave him that to begin with not Galatasaray as we all seen even his fantastic season last season in Turkey did nothing to alert Big Clubs I really don’t know who his advisors are I really don’t.

someone needs to really sit this boy down and talk to him. He needs better advisors around him not these Obi Cubana dem

In summary no top teams wants to sign african playing players and make them start or be the important player of the team because why pay money for a african player when afcon comes every 2 or so years and they gonna miss out on the club in the middle of the season
