Liverpool legend Danny Murphy has warned the Reds not to make any attempt to res-sign Trent Alexander-Arnold back from Real Madrid.
Alexander‑Arnold left Anfield in June 2025, joining Real Madrid a month before his contract expired.
Speaking to BestBettingSites, Murphy said that players rarely succeed when returning to former clubs and stressed that Liverpool’s succession plan must focus on evolving the team rather than looking back.

“No. I think that would be a difficult one to sell to the fans.
“Also, not many players go back to a former club and succeed.
“The succession plan has to be about moving forward and evolving the team. So no, I don’t think that would work.”
