Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, has emphasized the need to move Nigerian football to the next level in collaboration with the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, reports Completesports.com.
Speaking when the leadership of NFF led by its president Ibrahim Gusau paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja on Thursday.
“Football is the biggest unifier of our nation, thus it is important to put the interest of the game ahead of personal interests, sentiments and pecuniary gains. We must all join hands to develop it to win laurels for the country,” Enoh told the NFF chiefs.

“Nigerian football at all levels, both male and female, deserves our attention and this administration will work together with the NFF to plant the seeds of development and success that we all crave.”
The minister stated that the Sports Ministry is willing to cooperate with the NFF to solve all pending issues in Nigerian football, for the sake and benefit of the country.
Speaking, NFF President, Ibrahim Gusau said: “I am happy to meet the cool gentleman assigned to the Ministry of Sports as our honourable minister. We look forward to working together with him. We are here primarily to congratulate him and welcome him to the arena of sports.”

Please, your excellency minister John Enoh we wish from your excellency to make many overhauls on Nigeria football especially the administrive issues just as corruption in Nigeria football which has fallen it to the bottom; we wish you to inact drastic laws which will fix NPLF and national teams espcially Super Eagles like the law of combating corruption in Nigeria football, the new law of NPLF and relationship with thier clubs and relationship of culbs with thier players ,administrators, technical crews; reconstruction of NPLF leauge, rejuvention of stadiums grounds to be World class stadiums; we wish from your excellency to pay for hiring World class coach for SE for AFCON. final in Cote De Ivore 2024 and also for World Cup 2026 in USA, Canada, Mexico qualifier, I recommend to hire from thoes World class coaches as French coaches like Raymond Domenech, Jacques Santini, Jean Tijana, Michel Pavon; and from Netherlands like Frank Rijkaard,Van Gaal,Danny Blind, Van Bastin,Ronald De Boer , all thoes coaches will creat an incredible and formidable SE then will lead SE to a new era; I hope these arrays can help SE to produce new talented players, new honest NFF administrators, new strong clubs which can vie and compete in CAF championship competitions, strong SE coaching crew, new formidable SE, also in these laws I hope that Ministry of Sport can help NPLF clubs to accomodate thier fiscal situations to be public sharing companies then can depend on thier selves than depending on the government; also the Minstry must orders these clubs to establish an acadimies so that they can gradute talentend players for thier clubs and for phases age teams like from 16 to 18 ages, Under 20 , olympic team, SE team; if Ministry did these overhaul arrays we could see developed football in Nigeria just as 94 and 96 at NPLF and SE team.
I doubt that this Sports Minister has ever entered a stadium in his life. It appears the appointment of a sports minister is a habitual after thought of Nigerian presidents.
