Newcastle manager Eddie Howe says he’s optimistic the team will sign another striker regardless of Alexander Isak’s transfer situation.
Isak, who is currently on strike at the club, recently released a bombshell statement in which he described his relationship with Newcastle as “broken,” alluding to “broken promises.”
In a chat with the club’s website ahead of tonight’s Premier League clash against Liverpool, Howe has made it clear that Newcastle United will not be left without a recognised striker.

“I don’t think the club will allow that situation to happen.
“We certainly can’t go through the season with no recognised striker at the football club — and that’s no disrespect to Will Osula.
“I think he’s doing really well and progressing really well, but he’s got limited experience in the Premier League.”
