The problem of our team is not the lack of talents but it’s more of insufficient confidence… Our teams needs a very astute psychologist always henceforth
I keep saying that our people have to stand up for their rights a lot more, refuse to be bullied, cheated or manhandled unnecessarily – these Colombians really started the game manhandling and roughing up our boys, some of the rough house tactics has been akin to GBH, yet neither the referee nor Zubairu have said or done anything about it!
This is extremely infuriating to watch and it is always happening! Thankfully, it’s either the boys themselves have noticed and decided not to allow it again or the game has settled and the actual football has come to the fore, those Colombian boys have seen that it has not paid them any dividends – I am positive that it was part of their plan coming into the game, to bully the Nigerians and score a goal that way – Right now, the 9ja manager should be noting this to the boys and telling them to be smarter and much stronger against that nasty bullying tactic if it carries on in the second half – that is what I will be telling them right now and if he is not then something is seriously wrong with him! I just hope that he has noticed it and is just as pissed off about it and the way the ref is handling it as I am – the worst part is that that useless ref actually had the temerity to give the first booking to a Nigerian player and has not booked a single one of the Colombians with their blatant physical assaults on our boys – that nobody is saying anything about it is making my blood boil!!
Stop complaining. The team is pathetic to say the least. Imagine the replacement that came in for the number 5. Let them just come back home. Our future in soccer is dwindling gradually
This isis probably the most useles under 20 squad that Nigeria has ever produced. These can’t be the best Nigerian under 20 squad. This team is worse than the one that competed at the under 20 Afcon……These dummies needed a draw. As i stands now we might not even qualify as on of the 4th best teams.
Not sure u watched the same game, nobody shd talk trash abt those boys pls, like are u all serious right now? This guys put in all their life in this game, matched the Colombian bone to bone, has better poccession of the ball, hits the pole & bar on 3 solid occasions, what else do you all want?
This coach is very poor and the players are equally as poor if not worse. Zero skill, no coordination, just kicking the ball up in d air wirh desperation. The team dat played the afcon would have fared way better than dis nonsense d coach assembled. This is one of the worse U20 teams i have witnessed. This coach has zero to offer nigeria. These players will be forgotten in a hurry. What an eyesore. The columbians have dominated play from d blast of the whistle till now (60mins in). Such a bad team.
Colombia are pressing better they’re more comfortable on the ball and deserves the lead.
We should learn to take our chances..Hitting the frame of the post is never an achievement you should finish up your chances..
Another observation we lack the intelligence of creating goal opportunities even when we have more numbers in the oppositions half.
It’s frustrating watching Nigerian football lately.
I’d say it was a really poor first half especially in terms of coordination of moves and seemingly incessant hoofed hopeful balls. We deservedly went down a goal but from that moment the desperation kicked in and the fight back was impressive. Not perfect either aesthetically or tactically but one thing i observed was the out ball was mostly angled toward the right wing for us to chase and expose the colombian RB. Time and time again that move created the majority of our best chances one of which eventually led to the penalty we used to equalize. All and all, not perfect but good enough to qualify so we move
The little I watched, our boys tried. The Colombians were too physical, and our boys were struggling to make more impact, and we did not take our chances.
Should the coach please bench the No. 9 and allow Agada to start the next match? The no. 9 can come in later in the game.
All in all, kudos to our boys. Keep pushing until the end. Let’s go for the trophy guys. Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!
Agada is very poor,i am thinking sometimes how he made the team to the world cup.
Meanwhile,Arhierhi is a good striker he should be calm and patient, his lack of goals is playing on his mind, the reason he has struggled to score is because when he has opportunity to score he’s too in a haste.
I made that comment the last time that football has passed wuruwuru to score Era. He doesn’t have the frame of Erling Hallaand, like Omo9ja said coming from bench will do him more good at this point because missing those sitters is a no brainer on 3 matches. Whiteman will not give him such opportunities. Meeting Argentina was not a good choice but a dumb one!

9ja scores. Its 1:1 but the team is still poor

I concur. Don’t know how Agada made that team and other players in that team. Was scared Colombia would score more
