The 2024/25 Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, Super Six Playoffs will kick-off on Saturday in Ikenne with the opening game between Naija Ratels and Nasarawa Amazons.
In their most recent league meeting, Nasarawa Amazons secured a dominant 5–0 win over Naija Ratels
Later in the day, the South-South derby will see Bayelsa Queens take on Rivers Angels.
Both teams qualified from Group B, with the Prosperity Girls edging out the Jewels of Rivers 1–0 in their last encounter at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa.
Defending champions Edo Queens will wrap up matchday one with a clash against host team Remo Stars Ladies.
Edo Queens previously defeated Remo Stars 1–0 in their league meeting in Ikenne.
The team with the highest points at the end of the Super Six will be crowned league champions and will earn the ticket to represent Nigeria at the WAFU-B Women’s Champions League qualifiers in Côte d’Ivoire.
Past winners of the NWFL Premiership include Rivers Angels (2021), Bayelsa Queens (2022), Delta Queens (2023), and current holders Edo Queens (2024).
