Peseiro To Get Six Months Salaries Soon — NFF

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro will soon be paid his salaries according to the Nigeria Football Federation.

Peseiro took charge of the Super Eagles in May.

The 62-year-old has however not received a single pay check from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

The Portuguese quit his post as Venezuela coach in 2021 after a year with no pay and there are fears he could be forced to do same thing again.

The NFF are now working round the clock to avoid the same scenario.

“We’ve heard from Mr Peseiro’s representatives that he only received his allowances and bonuses, which is very disturbing,” a prominent NFF official told BBC Sport Africa.

“His salary is being paid by the Sports Ministry but we’ve quickly made an alternative arrangement, in conjunction with the Ministry, to sort the salary payments this week.”

Nigeria’s sports ministry, which took on the responsibility to pay Peseiro, has blamed the delay on processes for receiving funds from the federal government. A special adviser to sports minister Sunday Dare says the coach will be paid “very soon”.

The issue of Peseiro’s payment will be resolved soon with the understanding of the federation and the coach,” Toyin Ibitoye told the BBC.

“Everything is being worked on and we are quite confident that very soon it will be sorted.”

Liar, please show us were he screamed about his wages. if thats the case he is not stupid. Obviously for the coach to be silent, he is giving some kickbacks to some people in the higher ups. If na our own, they would have shown him the door, but na white man now they are silent, what double standard

Nigeria is a lawless country if not, Amaju Pinnick and his colleagues should have been in prison yard by now.

I omo9ja and other patriotic Nigerians have warned Amaju Pinnick to fired Oga Rohr after the world cup in Russia but he did not do so now, Oga Rohr is receiving free money because of Amaju the educated illiterate. What a shame.

What a country. We have well deserved people to run our sports but look at those people in charge of the affairs of our darling country. Are we not deserve better than this?

Nigeria is finished. Nothing is functioning properly in this country because of carelessness of our rulers. Nigeria is nothing to write home about at the moment.

The only solution is to pray and vote wisely in 2023. Let’s put sentiments and tribalism aside and vote for the best presidential candidate in 2023.

By doing so, many of the NFF members will sit tight or kickout of their offices.

But in reality, Nigerians are not ready for change with what I’m seeing. Fingers crossed.

However, it is a shame that bad people are the one running this country and we can not continue this way. Too bad kę.
Chai, it is well. I don’t expect too much from Oga Paseiro because I can’t work for free too. Hmmm. God bless Nigeria!!!

Two of the presidential candidates are very popular. They are people we know so well. Based on their antecedents, it is very obvious that they are worse than the current president. These two men, their names are synonymous with corruption and other ills.
Super eagles has really retrogressed badly, more especially from 2019 till date. Without any doubt, the problem is not from the players problem but that of administration. Everybody is doing whatever they want without any repercussion. Nigeria performed dismally at 2022 AFCON and also failed to qualify for Qatar. Nobody apologised. Nobody was sacked. Not even a query was given to anybody for the massive failure that affected millions of Nigeria and will continue to haunt them until the next four years. The people who led to the failure continued as though nothing happened.
In 2023, if Nigerians don’t vote wisely, it will be a lot more worse

I must be honest with you brother. None of them can take Nigeria to the promised land because they have ruled Nigeria before and they can not fix the problem.

Nigeria need fresh ideas from one of the newest parties not from the oldest ones.

We know the best among the new parties but Nigerians are not ready yet.

This is why Oga Paseiro haven’t bn paid yet.

Amaju Pinnick and his people are enjoying Nigeria money and nobody can do anything about it. It is a pity. It is well. God bless Nigeria!!!

Weren’t u the person alongside jimmy ball, iwunze, etc clamoring for the imnediate sack of rohr before the world cup??? Now wey be say water don pass garri, u are here preaching fake gospels. What a shame. I will personally dig up your posts where u were the chief spokesperson of ur miserable group of regressives moving the motion for the sack of rohr before the world cup. LIAR! I can still remember how u celebrated the appointment of eguavon when rohr was sacked. U sang and whistled like fani kayode until that one (egu) fumbled after boasting he could win the nations cup and world cup qualifiers respectively. We warned u of the impending danger inherent in the sacking of rohr before his time but you and your group of miserable regressives refused to hear. Now, E don dy play , dy show. Una chief ex cricket international (odegbami) has suddenly gone dumb. Mr queens English minister has lost his vocabulary as well. Ndi Ara!!!

You have started again Oakfield? We told you all including NFF to fire our former world class coach after the Russia world cup/Afcon in Egypt but you Oga Rohr fans turned your ears and we saw the result in the end. Didn’t we?

You called me a liar? How?

          Didn’t I warn you people?

If wasn’t because Amaju Pinnick, we wouldn’t have hired a coach like Oga Rohr a.k.a, my team is still young.

I am not surprised he hasn’t get a job yet. Only in Nigeria such a coach can get a job.

Look young man, let’s blame nobody but Amaju Pinnick and his company.

I still don’t know why they haven’t been in the prison yard yet. Nigeria is a joke when it’s come to corruption.

We saw how bad Oga Rohr was towards end of his sack even, at the world cup and Afcon, he didn’t impress so, why are you people still pained about him?

He did his very best for Nigeria which I can’t take that from Oga Rohr. However, he wasn’t good enough to retained his job period.

I have tried my best for you people to convinced you that Oga Rohr and Amaju have destroyed our football but none of you understood me. What next can I do kę bayi ooo?

He, Oga Rohr preferred Ighalo to Osimhen and Akpeyi to the young goalies but now, we are still searching for a reliable goalie. Please Oakfield, let’s call a spade a spade Shikena.
          Ire o. God bless Nigeria!!!

YOU CAN IMAGINE. A LOWLY RATED COACH WAS OWE 6 MONTHS SALARIES. I WONDER HOW MANY YEARS OF SALARIES IS GOING TO OWE BY NFF IF IT HIGHLY RATED COACH.
AND MINISTER OF SPORTS WAS COMPLAINING OTHER TIME BY INSISTING ON EITHER LAUREN BLANC & PHILIP COCU AS IF HE CAN PAY THEIR SALARY WHICH IS ALMOST TIMES FIVE OF PASEIRO’S SALARY

Gernot Rohr is laughing and FIFA is taking note! But why do these foreign coaches keep coming to Nigeria, knowing the
country’s sordid history of cancerous corruption, 419 and finacial mismanagement? A nation that cannot pay university lecturers and teachers in primary and seconday schools is not likely to pay football coaches.

They keep coming bcos they know they’ll get their money and work half the time. While these blocked-headed money-hungry NFF is busy focusing on the section about players invitation, these coaches and their lawyers are focusing on breach of contract and how NFF would pay for the entire contract. I don’t know what’s in Paseiro’s contract, but I assume owing 6 months’ pay would qualify as a breach. So, Paseiro may just be able to file a claim with fifa, get a year’s pay after only 6-months.

What an irony! In 2 weeks time Nigeria, coached by a Portuguese they have not paid for 6 months will play an international friendly against Portugal in Lisbon. What a disgrace for Nigeria!

NFF is embarrassing Nigerians. SOLUTION? First seek FIFA’s approval and voluntarily withdraw from all football activities for 5 yrs and lean up your dirty house. Foolish people.

I concur since these guys can’t solve a problem correctly they should put international football on hold until they’re able to properly develop our football instead of disgracing the country’s name.

In 2023, if Nigerians don’t vote wisely, things will get a lot worse, not just with super eagles but other aspects and sectors of Nigeria. Already, two well known men of corruption are already at the fore front. These men are worse than the current president. Their pasts say it all. We have to be careful. We have to vote wisely. The coming election should not be about tribe, ethnicity, religion etc. It should be about integrity, etc. All the presidential candidates are saying virtually the same thing. “We will make Nigeria better”.

But who are we going to trust. Who among them is ready to work hard to solve myriads of problems. Who among them will not steal our money.
Don’t let anybody deceive you. Some of the candidates just want to be president bcos of the title and history making. If they win, only people who are part of their government will enjoy the country. The rest, only God will save them

Hahahaha….useless FA with the most useless sports minister Nigeria has ever had.

The want world class coaches who command $150k pm and above when they couldn’t pay $45k pm to a man who was doing a damn good job with the pungent resources and environment they created by themselves….they sacked him for a consortium of incompetent dullards only to regress 40years backwards……LMAOOoo.

Now they are in the pit their sycophants, gluttons and pathetic e-diots have driven them into, $70k pm for a redemption job is becoming a bone in their throats…..LMAOooo.

As the adage says, “If you say common sense is expensive, try stupidity”…..LMAOooo

Now, somebody has been enjoying his beachside chalet’s sea-breeze for the past 1 year earning $45k every damn month for doing nothing, simply because of the stupidity of some dullards we call administrators and their table-side dogs……LMAOoo.

I hate to say this, but to all those who have had a hand in all of this, directly or indirectly…online or offline, I say….serves yall right. GOD CATCH ALL OF UNA….LMAoooo.

My advise to Mr Peserio….WALK AWAY Mr. Actually, RUN AWAY, let FIFA get your $420k for you by December andmove on with your life, because even if they pay you now, trust me, you aint getting another dime for another 6 months. If reports by another outlet is anything to go by, they are already lining up a “caretaker coach” whom they said is a “former coach of the team”….That sounds to me more like the “undertaker coach” that took us 40 years under with his outdated 1994 styled table soccer.

By the time we play 3 consecutive qualifiers without winning any nor scoring a goal from open play and start needing brazil to beat Nottingham forest for us to qualify for Cotedivoire 2024, their eyes will open.

Useless bunch of administrators. They thought they could just quickly bring in a $70k pm coach to undo the damage they have done within 1 year, until CAF broke their backs by shifting the AFCON further by another year……LMAOOooo. Na dia $70k pm for 2 years choke them for throat

I advise Peseiro to read and follow what our learn Dr suggested above for your own sake.
There is a rumor developing to replace you with “our own” as soon as they can borrow money to pay off what they own you. Peseiro, take the money and run. If any of the coach friends are around, let them direct his attentions to what Dr Drey wrote above and let him act on it as soon as he can. Thank you, Dr Drey, for your heart-warming and realistic article.

Which working condition, are these foreign coaches being given? Didn’t you read the headline of what you commented on that this same foreign coache have not been paid for 6 good months. If it is the local coaches they did that to you guys will turn it to excuse that it is the reason they don’t perform. This was the same conditions even worst that Rohr was subjected to and the poor man still meet all his targets before haters connived together and got us where we are now. God will punish all of them.

Oga ROHR…. Oga ROHR, sleep…. Sleep, wake up, get up, collect your money.
      Hahahahahahahahahahaha.

      Chai…..

Foolishness is defined as when NFF connive with some deluded fellows and some self acclaimed ex international local champion footballers to sack ROHR without any reasons and continue paying him his due wages for free.

It shall never be well with whosoever placed this curse on Nigeria.

      I come in peace though.

This Dr. Drey makes alot of sense all the time. Sacking Rohr was the dullest thing to do. Mediocrity reigns when it comes to general administration in Nigeria. How do we even owe someone a month’s salary? Now we talk of settling six months like it is a big deal. Sad for Nigerian football. This same dull heads in the sports ministry dismantled the progress made by our darling DE Tigress. Mediocrity all over.
