Rangers manager, Philippe Clement has showered encomium on Cyriel Dessers following the forward’s impressive performance in the Gers 2-1 win at St Mirren on Sunday.
Dessers came off the bench to score the winning goal for the Light Blues.
The Nigeria international has now scored eight goals in 16 games for Rangers this season.

Clement praised the forward’s performance in the keenly contested encounter.
“It was a good performance after a European night. We could have scored more than two goals but the opponent’s goalkeeper was really strong and with Cyriel, he was really active,” has told Rangers TV.
“He showed his big heart on Thursday and he did that again today. He loves the club and wants to give everything to get results. A striker not only scores but also helps the team by providing assists.
“The second goal shows the hunger and passion Cyriel has to win games here and he gives everything for that so I’m really happy. The way he came onto the pitch is what I expect from every player who comes on, to give us that extra energy and that needs to be our strength in the next couple of months.”

With Osihmen being the only proven goal poacher for the Super Eagles , I think it will be fair to give Other strikers equal chances to see who will take his chance and be a reliable deputy to Osihmen. We have already seen Awoyini, we have seen Onuachu as well as Boniface. These guys seem to click in club sides only. So its pertinent for the Coach to give an equal chance to Dealers, Omorodion, and other viable options making Waves irrespective of the league. Sometimes live luck takes people to places they don’t deserve. so the league doesn’t matter. Our all time highest goal scorer wasn’t moulded in a top five league. Pls pls lets see Desseers et al a chance since Osihmen’s deputy is yet to be discovered.
