Former Beşiktaş defender Selim Soydan has disclosed that Mauro Icardi is envious of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen’s success at Galatasaray.
Since joining Galatasaray in the summer from Napoli, the Nigerian international has made seven appearances, scoring six goals and bagging two assists this ongoing season.
On the other side, Icardi has made seven appearances and netted four goals for Galatasaray.
Speaking with Haber Sari Kirmiz, Soydan stated that Icardi didn’t expect Osimhen to excel at the club.

“I can say this very clearly that Mauro Icardi is jealous of Osimhen. He did not expect it to explode this much. The fans also embraced Osimhen. It is not just about football.
“A footballer is jealous of another footballer, a goal scorer is jealous of another goal scorer, a star is jealous of another star. It is not a situation that an athlete can tolerate.
“If Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi had played 3-4 more games, they would have wiped Icardi off the pitch. He couldn’t focus on the pitch because he separated from his wife. If Osimhen starts to get productive, all the goals Mauro Icardi scored will be forgotten in 2 days, that’s all I’m saying.”

These guys trained together everyday. Victor paid homage to Icardi after he scored while Mauro was out injured and Mauro appreciate that gesture, you can clearly see it in his face, so what exactly are you saying ? He separated from his wife ? and so what ? thats personal, what is your business with that bro ? you came out as a bitter person here bro, if you have a problem then sort it out.
People and their bad Belle stories have started again. They want to destroy he relationship between this two players. They should allow them to focus of their games and improve wherever necessary. Jot to cooknup stories about one getting envious of the other. It kills friendship amd relationships.
