The Ghana Football Association have expressed their unequivocal support for Thomas Partey after he was charged with two additional counts of rape against a new alleged victim.
It comes after the 32-year-old previously pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape against two women and one count of sexual assault allegedly relating to a third woman.
Partey will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 13 March for a first hearing relating to the two new charges.

In response to this development, GFA President Kurt Okraku expressed in an interview with Asaase Radio that they maintain close communication with the former Arsenal star and remain unfazed by the allegations made against him.
“Thomas Partey is our deputy captain and a key member of the Black Stars. The GFA will never sleep over any situation with a player like Partey. We’re in constant contact with Partey, and he’s in a good frame of mind despite what we read online. He has a strong mindset, and he’s preparing to represent Ghana at the World Cup,” Okraku said in an interview with Asaase Radio.
“Thomas Partey knows our position. We stand shoulder to shoulder with him during these challenging times. I’m very positive that despite all the happenings, Partey will show up for the World Cup,” he added.
