Sudan captain Mohamed Abdelrahman has disclosed that facing Senegal in the round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will be a difficult task.
The Sudanese have reached this stage without one of their players scoring a goal. Defeats to Algeria and Burkina Faso and a 1-0 win over Equatorial Guinea courtesy of Saul Coco’s 74th-minute own goal.
It is the first time Sudan have reached this stage, a remarkable achievement given the ongoing turmoil at home.
In an interview with Cafonline, Abdelrahman stated that Sudan is determined to go far at the tournament.
