Ivory Coast star Franck Kessié has disclosed that the Elephants are the team to beat at the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Recall that the Ivory Coast are the reigning champions after winning the 2023 AFCON as host, beating the Super Eagles 2-1 in the final.
Speaking ahead of their opening game against Mozambique today, Kessié in a chat with Cafonline, said that the team has worked hard and feels ready for the tournament.

“We worked on every aspect — technically, mentally and physically. The goal was to be ready not only on the pitch but also off it.
“In a competition like AFCON, mental management and team cohesion are just as important as tactical work.
“We have a lot of respect for Mozambique. They are a solid team that plays without fear. But we also know what we want to do.
“Football is about being able to seize opportunities and score when they arise. We want to impose our game while remaining disciplined.
