La Liga president Javier Tebas believes Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso has the club’s DNA in him to brush off the mounting crisis talk as a familiar script at the Bernabéu.
Alonso is currently under pressure, having managed just two wins in their last five games across all competitions at Real Madrid.
Speaking ahead Sunday’s clash against Alaves, Tebas stated that Alonso has what it takes to weather the storm, drawing on his own observations of the club’s storied resilience
“I have seen this movie many times before,” he said.

“Real Madrid is a team that knows how to overcome situations. Xabi Alonso has Madrid DNA and I believe that he, the players and the club will move forward. They have had that mentality since they were children and Xabi has lived it from home.”
“Let him continue to be himself,” Tebas added when asked what advice he would give.
“He is a coach who has triumphed and it is not easy to do so in a Bundesliga with the level of competition that exists.
“He is perfectly prepared to carry this forward. I encourage him and Real Madrid, because they always get out of these situations.”
