Former England boss Roy Hodgson has advised Arsenal to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres.
The Swedish striker has been heavily linked with a move to the Gunners after his impressive goal scoring display for the Portuguese club last season.
Hodgson, equally known for insightful comments, did not hold back on Gyokeres’ future at the London club.

“Viktor Gyokeres is at a big club already, he’s getting the level of football that the Swedish national team would want but If he does come to England, I’m pretty sure that will be welcomed, if you like, by the whole Premier League in terms of the level of play he will bring,” Hodgson told TribalFootball.
“If Arsenal do sign him, it will be a real feather in their cap. With regard to the national team, that might give the national team coach a decision to make because I think that both Alexander Isak and Gyokeres are used to playing as a lone centre forward, backed up either from behind or from the wings.”
Arsenal are in the process of completing a deal to sign Viktor Gyokeres as the club have reportedly agreed to pay €63.5m (£55m) up front for the striker who is widely regarded as on of the best on the planet at the moment.
