Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, champions Bayelsa Queens have unveiled their provisional squad for the WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League qualifiers, reports Completesports.com.
Head coach Whyte Ogbonda named 25 players in the provisional squad.
Captain Blessing Illivieda, reliable forward Janet Akekoromowei, and Emem Essien are some of the top stars on the list
Flamingos star Shakirat Moshood, goalkeeper Linda Jiwaku, new signing Dooshima Mary, and Lucky Mary were also included in the squad.
Bayelsa Queens won the NWFL title in May.
The tournament will be held in Yamoussoukro, Cote d’Ivoire from Saturday, August 9 to Sunday, August 24, 2025.
The winner will automatically qualify for the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League.
Edo Queens of Nigeria won the WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League title last year.
