Newly appointed Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle will manage the team at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), Completesports.com reports.
Chelle was named Super Eagles head coach on Tuesday.
“We have come out with the policy that whoever we employ as the Super Eagles coach will also be the one to manage the affairs of the CHAN Eagles,” president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau said in an interview.

“We want players from the domestic league to be injected into the Super Eagles.”
The Home Eagles are making a return to the CHAN after a six-year absence.
They will discover their group stage opponents at the draw ceremony slated for the International Convention Centre, Nairobi Kenya on Wednesday, January 15.
The competition will start on Saturday 1 February 2025 and the final will take place on Friday 28 February 2025.

There you go again. Aboki will never have sense. How can a stranger handle home eagles overnight when he just got the job? What’s wrong with Fidelis and Ogumodede? After they’ll say I’m tribalistic.
That is the way it should be .The head coach of the main team oversees the home as the head while Coach Dan and Fidelis remain his assistants, in that way they can comb the entire country for one or two extra ordinary players even better than foreign player

I am watching patiently because I have a feeling there are home based players they want to market,and would push them good or bad into the main Super Eagles stream.I also foresee such plans for Super Falcons.Name a player in the local league that can command a first time shirt in both national teams.We plenty Nigerians born abroad that are waiting for attention yet they are talking about platers from the local league. Demehin and co have proved that when you are good enough, you are given a chance in Super Falcons.So did late Thompson Oliha in his time,he benched several foreign based then.
