Manchester City have put themselves right back in contention for the Premier League title after thrashing Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, moving six points back of leaders Arsenal with a match in hand.
Marc Cucurella found the net after a fluid attacking move, but the effort was ruled out for offside following a VAR check.
But after a tightly contested first half, City’s clinical finishing and midfield control turned the match decisively in their favour.

Goals from Nico O’Reilly, Marc Guéhi, and Jérémy Doku ensured all three points for the visitors.
The result has significant implications for the title race, with City closing the gap to the league leaders to six points while holding a game in hand.
Pep Guardiola’s side will go within three points of the Gunners if they defeat them in a titanic showdown at the Etihad Stadium next week.

Some managers in the Premier league are ripe for sacking.
Top on the list is Liam Rosenior.
If he is not sacked by tomorrow morning, I will be highly suspicious of the Chelsea board.
As we already know, it is only in Nigerian football that calamitous, woeful failure is tolerated and even rewarded. Incompetent people fail woefully and still hold on to their jobs. So if Mr. Rosenior is still employed tomorrow morning, questions will be asked.
Is the Chelsea board now on the same level as NFF Onigbese?
If that is the case, then it is not only Rosenior that needs to go. The Chelsea board needs to follow him out the door.
