Cyriel Dessers was awarded very good rating after helping Rangers earn a shock 3-2 win at Real Betis in Group C of the Europa League on Thursday night.
Dessers provided the assist to put Rangers 1-0 up before scoring a brilliant solo goal to make it 2-1.
The win saw Rangers finish top of the group over second placed Sparta Prague while Betis were eliminated.
Following his impressive performance in the win, Glasgow Times rated Dessers seven over 10.
“Often criticised for his profligacy in front of goal but anything but the case in Seville,” Glasgow Times wrote.
“Inadvertently teed up Sima opener and then produced stunning wonder goal as he danced through defence before slotting home.”
The goal against Betis was Dessers’ first in five appearances in the Europa League this season.
Also the 29-year-old has scored five goals in 13 games for Rangers in the league.

Dessers have come again, ooo. I hope Mr. Eguavoen have recognized Dessers well now
so that he can talk to Oga Paseiro, who prefer other strikers to Dessers.
If not because Mr. Eguavoen did a shabby work at the last Afcon, Dessers would have cemented his position in the Super Eagles, but NFF had
using corruption to destroy all our national teams.
I am not a coach nor an agent, but if I see a quality player, I will know that this is a good player kę. I am very happy that Kolawole is doing what he knows how to do best at the
moment and also at the right time.
Can Moffi, Boniface, and Umar Sodiq bench Dessers? impossible. So why Oga Paseiro is not getting Dessers involved is what I do not understand.
I hope the gaffer won’t do magomago in his final selection. Otherwise, he will regret his decision just like Mr. Eguavoen did against Tunisia in Cameroon. We needed Dessers more than any striker in the Super Eagles period.

If the coach deem him fit for his style of play and include him in his final list, fine and good if not pls free the coach to do his job.

Where was your enthusiasm for Akor who has called 7 goals so far in the French league? For now, our top 3 strikers are Osimhen, Boniface and Akor. Dessers and Sadiq can slug it out for the 4th position.
