Fresh off their Europa Conference League and Club World Cup triumphs, the Blues are entering a critical second phase of their rebuild under Enzo Maresca as preparations intensify for the 2025-26 season.

Chelsea new signings summer 2025 window
Dario Essugo

The Portugal Under-21s midfielder was Chelsea’s first new signing of the summer, completing a move from Sporting Lisbon for approximately £18.5 million after impressing during a loan spell in Spain with Las Palmas last season. He has signed a contract until 2033.
Essugo, who impressed during a loan spell at Las Palmas, is expected to provide depth in midfield and compete for a spot alongside Moisés Caicedo.
Estevao Willian

The 18-year-old will link up with the Blues ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, with a deal agreed last summer to bring him to Stamford Bridge. Already a full Brazil international, Estevao featured for Palmeiras at the Club World Cup and scored against Chelsea in the quarter-finals.
The attacking midfielder made 78 appearances for Palmeiras and scored 26 goals, making a name for himself as one of the biggest prospects in South American football.
Carlo Ancelotti started Estevao during his first game as Brazil manager, in further recognition of not just his potential but the level he is already playing at. While Chelsea have managed to pay £29m as an initial fee for Estevao, he could end up costing up to £52m thanks to add-ons in the deal.
Jamie Gittens

The young English winger completed a move from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea on 5 July, 2025, signing a contract with the Blues until 2032 for a fee of £48.5m plus the potential for a further £3.5m in add-ons.
The 20-year-old forward scored 17 goals and contributed 14 assists in 107 games for the German club.
Joao Pedro

The Brazilian forward joined Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion in time to make an instant impact at the Club World Cup, scoring both Chelsea goals in the semi-final against Fluminense before scoring again as the Blues beat Paris Saint-Germain in the final.
The Brazilian’s arrival adds flair and firepower to Chelsea’s frontline. Able to play as a centre-forward or a no.10, Pedro will provide something different in the final third for Chelsea along with fellow new signing Delap.
Liam Delap
The England Under-21 striker joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town after impressing in the Premier League last season, and scored his first goal for the Blues in the win over ES Tunis at the FIFA Club World Cup.
His arrival adds a new dimension to the forward line. Delap has become the latest incumbent of Chelsea’s no.9 shirt after signing a contract until 2031. The striker will hope to fare better than some of his predecessors as he looks to build on the promise of a 12-goal season with Ipswich.
Jorrel Hato

On Sunday 3rd August 2025, Chelsea announced the signing of Netherlands international Jorrel Hato from Ajax. The 19-year-old defender has penned a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge through to 2032 and will join up with his new team-mates this week.

Kendry Paez
After turning 18 in May, Paez completed his move to Chelsea this summer. The teenager already has 18 senior caps and two goals for Ecuador, making him the youngest player ever to score in South American FIFA World Cup qualifying.
The Ecuadorian attacking midfielder made 70 appearances for Independiente del Valle and scored 13 goals. Chelsea have acquired a whole host of young talents under their current ownership, so would struggle to fit them all in the same team straight away.
With that in mind, Kendry Paez has joined Strasbourg on loan for the 2025/26 campaign. The Ecuadorian already has nearly 100 senior appearances to his name.
Mike Penders
The young goalkeeper’s move from Genk to Chelsea was announced last August, before the Belgian officially joined the Blues this summer. The 19-year-old has joined Strasbourg on loan until the end of season, fresh from being a member of the Chelsea squad at the Club World Cup.
Mamadou Sarr
The France Under-20s defender impressed in Ligue 1 with Strasbourg last season before joining Chelsea this summer, signing a contract until 2033. He subsequently returned to Strasbourg on loan.
Kian Best
The teenage defender signed a contract until 2027 to join Chelsea from Preston North End, where he made his senior debut in the Championship aged 17. He is an England Under-19s international.
Jesse Derry
Young attacker Jesse Derry signed a contract at Chelsea until 2029, having been at Crystal Palace. The 18-year-old is an England youth international.
Christopher Atherton
Nearly three years after becoming the youngest ever player in the UK when making his Glenavon debut at the age of 13, Atherton has joined Chelsea, as confirmed by the Northern Irish club.
He will now get to develop in the Chelsea academy, although the spotlight shouldn’t be on him for a while.
Players that departed Chelsea summer 2025
Kepa Arrizabalaga
Seven years ago, Chelsea made Kepa the most expensive goalkeeper of all time, but they have recouped a fraction of the fee. While Kepa struggled to justify his price tag at Stamford Bridge, he went on to spend the last two seasons of his contract there out on loan, first with Real Madrid and then with Bournemouth.
A positive spell on the South Coast has led to a permanent transfer to Arsenal, who have paid Kepa’s £5m release clause one year before his Chelsea contract would have expired.
Noni Madueke
Madueke completed a permanent move to Arsenal after two and a half seasons at Stamford Bridge in which he scored 20 goals in 92 appearances and helped Chelse win the UEFA Europa Conference League.
Chelsea sold Madueke to Arsenal for a fee rising just over £50m with add-ons. Almost twice the fee they paid to PSV Eindhoven for the England winger.
Joao Felix
Eyebrows were raised when Chelsea signed Felix for a second spell last summer, following his previous loan stint from Atletico Madrid. After arriving in the opposite direction to Conor Gallagher, Felix only lasted for half a season.
Now, the Portuguese international, who scored seven goals in 20 appearances for Chelsea in 2024/25 has completed a permanent move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr on 29 July where he will link up with international teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Djordje Petrovic
The goalkeeper left for fellow Premier League side Bournemouth after two years at Chelsea. He made 31 appearances during his first season here, before spending last term on loan at Strasbourg.
