Former Kwara United boss, Samson Unuanel believes Super Eagles strikers, Terem Moffi and Cyriel Dessers still have a lot to prove in the senior national team.
Recall that Moffi has been painting the Ligue 1 with goals for Lorient, having netted six goals this ongoing season while Dessers has bagged one assist with Cremonese in the Serie A.
However, with the absence of Victor Osimhen from Nigeria’s clash against Algeria in an international friendly game slated for September 27, Unuanel in a chat with Completesports.com stated that Dessers and Moffi must use the game to further establish themselves in the Super Eagles.
“Terem Moffi and Cyriel Dessers are two quality strikers with proven goal scoring records. They may not have gotten the opportunity of staking a regular shirt in the Super Eagles, however, I am convinced that are top quality strikers.

“The truth is, they have plenty to prove in the senior national team now that Victor Osimehn won’t be part of the team for the Algeria game. There is no better time to convince the Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro if not now.”
This will be the third time the North Africans will face Nigeria under coach Djamel Belmadi.
In the first encounter, Belmadi led his team to go past the Super Eagles 2-1 in the semifinal of the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
Algeria then pipped Nigeria in a friendly in Austria in October 2020. Both teams failed to qualify for this year’s World Cup in Qatar.

DESSERS SHOULD TRY AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO USE THIS MATCH TO GRAB HIS CHANCES iN SUPER EAGLE AND SCORE GOALS AS SADIQ & OSIMHEN ARE ABSENT.

How many goals osimehn have scored for national team?
From the passing of time Dessers and Moffi will merger togther on Super Eagles line-up , they will be formidable strikers in all Africa.
Super Eagles need a creative midfielder who can distribute ball to our strikers any where on the pitch.
If the new gaffer fails to find a midfielder soon, even Osimhen will struggle to score goals.
We should not put pressure on our strikers because we don’t have a creative midfielder in the Super Eagles for a while now.
Those in charge of the Super Eagles before Oga Paseiro have failed to resolved this problem and I hope Oga Paseiro will find a creative midfielder soon.

Samson shouldn’t forget the Dessers already had 3goals and 1assist for Genk this season. Adding to the assist he has for Cremonese. He will get better for Club and Country with the right pass into the box. We need a creative midfielders like Eze, Ejaria and Olise. Going forward, we need to solve Cb problem with Torunarigha, Morizt Jenz and Olise ndah. Also for DM position, I think Yusuf, luke amos and Jonas David of Hamburg çould be called up. Since basset have been moved to CB, Sanusi should have a good cover in Deji Beyreuther.
