Chelsea striker Marc Guiu has disclosed that he left Barcelona because of Hansi Flick.
Recall that the Spanish international looked to have an exciting future at Barcelona but moved on after Chelsea activated a €6 million release clause in his contract in summer 2024.
In an interview with TV3, Guiu stated that he wished he had spoken properly with Hansi Flick before joining Chelsea.

“The only time I spoke to Hansi Flick, he just said that he wished me luck.
“I would have liked the coach to call me, but that didn’t happen. I finally understood that the situation was not good for me and decided to leave.
“Honestly, I could have played a bit more, but you could tell the club had other plans. (Robert) Lewandowski was there, and they had just signed Vitor Roque. It was clear I didn’t belong there.”
