Flying Eagles Players In Bonus Row, Insists On Payment Before Leaving Hotel

Angry Flying Eagles players were involved in bitter row with officials of the side insisting on the payment of their bonuses following their elimination from the FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland on Monday, Completesports.com reports.

The two-time finalists fell to a 2-1 defeat against fellow West Africans Senegal in their Round of 16 encounter at the Lodz Stadium.

The players Completesports.com learnt were scheduled to travel back home on Tuesday morning (today) but missed their flight after refusing to leave their hotel until they get their bonuses.

Pleas from team officials also fell on deaf hears as the players refused to listen to them.

It remain to be seen if the issues will be resolved on time to facilitate the team departure from Poland.

Paul Aigbogun’s charges won only one out of four games at the competition- a 4-0 win against Qatar in their first game.

They lost 2-0 to the United States of America in the second game and forced Ukraine to a 1-1 draw in their last group fixture.

I was very sad to see on instagram a player dropped and he complained because he had no 5 million to pay his way to Poland and revealed that the platers on board were not the best but made it to Poland by pocket.

Bad as in bad it’s not fair, these guys should be given their dues..This is fast becoming the norm for this NFF. Aside from the Super Eagles they give no hoot about other national teams..It’s unbecoming

      I am short of words.

The embarassment of winning only one game, and that against a lowly rated side, is not enough. Now they want to add insult to injury, further tarnishing our already dented image.

The NFF, coaches and players are all partners in crime. No one can cinvince me that all the allegstions of bribery for spaces in the team are false.

Cuteprince, your name suggests you should be cute but there was nothing cute about your comments to my lovely Luomo.
The team has given a shambolic account of themselves no doubt but a contract is a contract.
If you have a contract that stipulates that you have to paid for the work you do. If the employer is not satisfied and choose to sack you on Monday, they still have to pay you for the rest of that week.
Then, the employer has to live up to his contract even if he sacks you.
Me I stopped taking Aigbohun’s Flying Eagles seriously long ago.
But, for the sake of humanity, paid those boys what they are due and then let them go the way of the dinasours.

You bribed your way to embarrass us and u still want us to pay for your criminality Yeye people.Stay there this country is overpopulated anyway. As for Aigbogun the fat turkey should be investigated by EFCC, the level of crimes and corruption is way too much in this country we need to send a strong signal that is not business as usual anymore.

      This is a shame!
The question is who has refused to pay them? Who says they will not be paid on return?
      This is painful!
How over aged players with no football sense were boarded to represent a whole nation.
I have watched some little boys in my street play. They play far better than his over aged men who bribed their way down.
My sympathy goes only for the selfless no 10 okon who played his life out. But how much can he do admits foolish and carefree men.
Ball control 0%, football sense 0%; they can’t even trap or control a simple pass; its either they push the ball too hard out of possession or they fall asleep.
This is the worse set of players Nigeria has ever produce.
U had no expectation because I knew what went wrong in that camp.
How can a full team travel as far as Scandinavia without a good no striker or 9.
He log of wood who played this 9 whether I can’t tell his name who totally a waste of space; all he knew was to pass. He lacked so much confidence.
      This is sad!
NFF keep doing what u r doing!
One day the right people will get to the helm and u will have posterity and eternity to alc to for all it fraudulent suppositions.

      Plz BUHARI
SHOW THIS CORRUPT SQUAD WHY U R BUHARI.

      GOD BLESS NIGERIA!

Very poor guys. They do not deserved to be referred to as a team cos they didn’t play like one. They play like headless chicken. No pattern, no zeal, no focus. The coaching crew should be investigated. Haba! Naija players are not this poor. This is shameful.

Hahahaha….I feel your pains guys. No one is hurt more than I do because I have been shouting against this team since the AFCON days till yesterday.
However, agreement is agreement. Contract is contract. Pact is pact. Terms and conditions also apply.LOL.
Let the tenets of the agreement be upheld.
Failure to do so might act a two edged sword for our national teams.

A contract is a contract, there is no question about it. The players should be paid their winning bonuses (for the win against Qatar) and draw bonus against Ukraine. The deserve no more than that. Secondly, the NFF and Aigbogun should be investigated as to why they presented this team for Nigeria. The should be made to account for all kobo spent on this shambolic team and if found guilty, made to face the music. I don’t care what ever achievement the NFF chairman may have had, if he is found culpable, he should be punished.
I don’t know why Nigeria as a nation hate to do what is right. We kill excellence, professionalism, justice, and fair play but allow stealing, injustice, nepotism, and corruption to thrive. Shame on all the unserious set of “rulers” ruling Nigeria.

Aigbogun, pinnick, Dikko and other  Nff top brass are lucky to be Nigerians a country where anything goes, no accountability no consequences for any bad actions. In a sane society a very young ambitious DA would make these corrupt officials cough out all the money they collected from these  sambisa first eleven.Salisu collected bribe he was only suspended for months, the culture of fraud and corruption in Nigeria will eventually doom this country.

For most of these SAMBISA ELEVEN, this bonus is the last football income they will ever earn, as it is unlikely that any clubs anywhere will be interested in signing them. That is why they are so desperate to get the bonus. Na dia belle dem dey find. Anywhere belle face football, Belle First philosophy.

      Mali just dumped Argentina!

      What a match!

Mali equalized at the 120th minute and went on to win via penalty.

      That’s the African spirit!!

No Messi to save Argentina this time around. If we had played them with more heart and desire at the 2018 mundial, we should have dumped them out as well. Well done, Mali!

      Agreement is agreement.

The real disgrace is that they have to protest to get what is their entitlement. The are entitled to get the money for qualifying from their group. Any decent football association will have their payment details already and just credit their accounts. The boys don’t trust them.

It’s same as a person didn’t perform to expectation at work and they are sacked with the employer withholding their last months pay for work already completed.

They did the job of getting out of the group, they should be compensated for it.

Let me put it another way.

If their contract states they get $5,000 each for advancing to the knockout stage, $7,000 for the quarter final stage $10,000 for semi finals, $20,000 for final and $50,000 per player for winning the tournament and then you don’t pay them for reaching the first hurdle, that there is injustice.

I like to believe I feel as bad as a lot of us on this platform. however,I know 2 wrongs don’t make a right. pay them what is due them. I would even take a different approach in laying blames… Where on earth did they get this coach? who is he? what’s his success profile? I would rather blame the nff for hiring him than blaming the boys he took. honestly guys, give that guy the best players he won’t still make a team of them, they still won’t go far, he no sabi coach.
