Former Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan has advised the team to have a defined style of play that will propel them to glory at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Gyan made this call on in an interview with Joy TV, where he lauded the team’s performance in the friendly games against Brazil and Nicaragua.
Recall that Ghana lost 3-0 to Brazil on Friday, September 23 at Stade Oceane in France and defeated Nicaragua 1-0 on Tuesday September 27 at Estadio Francisco Artes Carrasco in Spain.

However, Gyan said, “”Ghana needs to identify one strong system and master it,
“We have good players but we need to find the right system and be very good at it. We can make tweaks when necessary but we need one system that one system that we are very good at.”
Ghana are in Group H of the 2022 FIFA World Cup alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.
The Black Stars have gone beyond the group stage at the FIFA World Cup twice; in Germany 2006 and South Africa 2010.

The problem of Ghana is not to adopt strong pattern of play as Gyan said , but Ghana lacks box to box attacking forwards or forward who can know the goal, if Ghana has one box forward who has falcon eye to score goals, I pet you Ghana will ascend to the next round or 16 round also 8 round, also Ghana must tighten center defence side, I watch it was shaky in Brazil encounter.
What’s box to box striker u keep on saddling us with?
Mister for ur information and sadly enough, in football there’s no BOX TO BOX STRIKER but rather box to box midfielder! A striker cannot be a box to box and do u want to know why? A box to box player simply means a hardworking player who covers every blade of the field or who covers the four comers of the turf!
A striker who lead the team from the attacking front cannot come back and defend, tackled and even distribute balls! The only targeted work of a striker is to put the ball into the net as all other functions are performed by a BOX TO BOX DEFENSIVE MIDFIELDER / CENTRAL MIDFIELDER

When you do not qualify for world Cup, you deem useful information as noise. Even Nigeria is talking aplenty about their friendly matches. How much more Ghana who is going to play in the world cup. Let them talk, let them hype it, let them enjoy it. Nigerians would have done worst if they qualified
You take offence at a realistic advice that would fetch your team something tangible. You prefer to float in unrealistic dreams without substance.

But if the Black Stars can’t fine-tune their tactics, preferring kung-fu and are sent home after 3 matches, you know where the blame lies.

There’s no such thing in football as box to box striker. There are false nine or deep-lying forwards. This role comes with no defensive responsibilities. Instead there are box to box midfielders. The box to box midfielder, as the name suggests, is a player in the midfield position who is effective both at the attacking end and the defensive end.
