Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has described new signing Viktor Gyokeres as a quality striker.
Gyokeres completed a move worth up to £64m to the Gunners from Sporting on Saturday and waved to fans from the pitch before kick-off.
The Sweden international is Arsenal’s sixth summer signing but undeniably the most anticipated, with supporters long urging Arteta to sign a forward to help end a 21-year wait for the Premier League title.
Speaking with the club’s website, Arteta stated that Gyokeres will help improve Arsenal’s attack.

“We are super happy to have Viktor with us, it’s been a long journey to get him over here.
“He’s been incredible, he was very clear from the beginning where he wanted to play and how passionate I felt from him from day one when we first spoke.
“You can see the boys, you can see the environment as well, very excited with his arrival.”
