Mainz’s rising star Erkan Eyibil is reportedly attracting interest from a number of European clubs this summer. Germany Under-17 international Eyibil has been in sensational form for Mainz’s Under-19’s this season, scoring 17 goals and registering five assists from 23 appearances in the Bundesliga U19 league.

The 17-year-old’s performances have alerted a number of sides across Europe and it is widely expected he will be plying his trade away from the Opel Arena next season. Newcastle United and West Ham United, along with Super Lig giants Besiktas and Fenerbahce are also thought to be interested in the midfielder and the quartet are ready to do battle for his signature.
Championship outfit Aston Villa are also believed to be keen on a deal but with Eyibil eager to play Premier League football, the Villans’ hopes rest on whether they win the play-offs this season.
