Top officials of the Nigeria Football Federation ,NFF, have converged in Asaba, Delta State for the funeral rites of the deceased father of Super Eagles’ captain Wilfred Ndidi.
The delegation led by NFF’s Secretary General, Mohammed Sanusi met with the Besiktas midfielder on arrival in Asaba on Thursday.
Sanusi conveyed the heartfelt grief and sadness of the entire Nigeria football family over the tragic passing of Mr. Sunday Ndidi, while presenting a formal letter of condolence to the former Leicester City star.

Also on the delegation were NFF Executive Committee Member, Rt. Hon. Nse Essien; Chairman of the Delta State Football Association, Hon. Godwin Adode; NFF’s Director of Media & Communications, Dr Ademola Olajire and; Board Members of the Delta State Football Association.
Sunday Ndidi tragically passed away after he was hit by a car in the town of Umunede, near Agbor, Delta State last month.
He will be laid to rest in Umunede, Delta State today.
